No matter what your present circumstances are, the first step to becoming better is the commitment to do just that. It is amazing how many businesses, marketing gurus, mentors, coaches lawyers and doctors, even rocket scientists like to present themselves as “the best.” To claim that you are the best in any industry or area of expertise is simply untrue – or at least there is no way to actually measure it even if it is true. At the end of the day, there is no way for any business or person to say they offer the best of anything – service, quality or features. There are no standard metrics and we really have no idea who all the competitors are. Your competitive juices must be flowing continuously to be better than the rest.

Psychology – A Science As Well As an Art

Posted on by 0 comment

Psychology is commonly defined as ‘scientific’ study of human behavior and cognitive processes. Broadly speaking the discussion focuses on the different branches of psychology, and if they are indeed scientific. However, it is integral in this to debate to understand exactly the major features of a science, in order to judge if psychology is in fact one. There must be a definable subject matter – this changed from conscious human thought to human and non-human behavior, then to cognitive processes within psychology’s first eighty years as a separate discipline. Also, a theory construction is important. This represents an attempt to explain observed phenomena, such as Watson’s attempt to account for human and non-human behavior in terms of classical conditioning, and Skinner’s subsequent attempt to do the same with operant conditioning. Any science must have hypotheses, and indeed test them. This involves making specific predictions about behavior under certain specified conditions.

How to Free Your Dreams

A Great Day for Freedom . by ahermin

Introduction

How many times in your life did you have a dream that never turned into a reality? Perhaps you had the dream to own your own business online or to be your own boss. Perhaps you had the dream of going overseas, but you never had enough money.

Why is it that many of our dreams do not come true? In my mind there are two major reasons for this situation. The first reason might be that we skipped some vital steps in what I call the creative cycle. The second reason might be that we did not have the patience for the creative cycle to bear its fruit. So what do I mean by the creative cycle? We see the creative cycle at work in the seasons of nature: spring, summer, late summer, autumn and winter. Each and every creative process on earth have to go through these five phases of creation to bear fruit. Let us now look at each of these five phases in order for us to turn our dreams into reality.

” Plan for the future, because that’s where you’re going to spend the rest of your life.” - Mark Twain

Brin and Cora were two very brave little elves who lived in a land before time. They had heard about a land far beyond the waters where there were magical animals, crystal flowers and all forms of treasures to sparkle your eyes and warm your heart. They had an urge, a driving burning tickling urge that niggled inside them to find and see this wondrous land across the seas for themselves. No-one in their land had ever ventured further than the outer reefs surrounding much of the coastline and their friends and family constantly cautioned them against doing so.

Role Models – Who Needs Them?

Role model by ChristiaanKanis

Children copy those around them. As babies and toddlers they copy their carers. For example they learn to speak by copying us (that’s why they speak our language!) As they grow older they copy their peers, and then are influenced by those they see in the media, social or otherwise.

Mind Exercises For Success

Posted on by 0 comment

Mind exercises are useful for developing the natural creative powers we were born with. For some, visualization and mental manipulation are harder to do as they grow older. As imaginations age and stress over-rules optimism, it becomes difficult to take the time necessary to develop certain mental skills. Only as children do we play with our world naturally using the freedom of imagination, and this is unfortunate. Because to master your mind, is to master your life, and the following mind exercises will prove to help you do just that!
